Destiny Strings-Morning Interlude
[>After getting settled in for the first few days, you've got the hang of living here...for the most part. You even got a pretty good night's sleep tonight, and you're still pretty conked out, even after day breaks.

Thank you. I know he really does want to help.
[Although God forbid Yamato actually admits to this.]
no subject
[Sorry Kaito, but boxcor is literally sitting completely flat right now, which is as close to an even stare as he can give you.]
If he desires to help, it is for his own benefit, not my own.

[And for the first time in possibly ever-]
I would rather not dwell on that. It is a significant factor that brought me to anguish.
[-Alcor actually openly admitted to avoiding a subject.]
no subject
Wh...uh, okay. Sorry.
[A careful pause.]
...If you ever feel like talking about it, let me know, okay?
[And for the first time in possibly ever, Kaito actually says this to someone who Isn't Daichi, wow.]

[Can the star just you know...get back in your personal space for a sec and just sort of Chill. 'Cos that sounds really awesome right now.]
no subject
I guess, but talking it out helps make you feel better. Or...at least it does for a lot of people. But if you don't want to, that's fine.
[He was just making sure...]

You don't have to say everything. And he already told me some stuff about his past, so...I have a general idea about it.
[>Yamato
>Discussing even bits of his past with Kaito.]

[He doesn't have an eyebrow to raise, but some of his wires DO part in surprise.]
...after the loss of his parents, his training intensified. He was young at the time, and the clan was...fixated on ensuring he followed their dictated path. I did not feel I could, or should, interfere. And yet I spent as much time with him as I dared, stealing him away when his elders would not notice.
He thought I was simply a strong demon, and he admired and trusted me then. I regret losing that bond more than anything. That it has come to this, all because I felt powerless...while he thought I could do anything.
no subject
That's...[Hmm. Well, it's sad, but no shit Sherlock, that's just stating the obvious.]
So what happened? Was it the whole Meritocracy thing?
no subject
...I considered following my role as Polaris had dictated, but instead focused my energies to creating the demon summoning app. It was my last attempt. You are aware of the rest.
no subject
[Man, that's like even sadder. Although something's bugging him.]
I still think he cares. When you first showed up, he asked me about you and...it was obvious he knew who you were and could have outed you any time. But he didn't that last minute, which didn't really make sense to me before...
[But now it makes total sense.]
no subject
I...cannot claim to understand why he would not. Perhaps he did not want you to be exposed to my "heresy"...
[Alcor, making excuses, because he can't comprehend anything beyond 'You're a monster'.]

[Alcor shifted, sucking his sides in to an extreme before 'exhaling' them back out to their normal positions.] I would like to believe you, Shining One- but I failed in tending to him, and left him to his fate. I could not expect him to see me as anything but a monster. [Sigh, literally.] He did not even know what I truly was for many years. He simply saw me as a demon.
no subject
But people can change, I think. Maybe being in a place where he can be a normal guy and not a Hotsuin will help, you know?
no subject
no subject
Of course I'll help. You know that.
[He was gonna try to do that before Yamato tried to killed everyone anyway!]
no subject
[Wait for it...
Wait for iiit...
Wait for iiiiiiiiittttttt...
Yep, he's purring again.]
no subject
No problem. [He yawns again, stretches, and eventually stands.]
I'm gonna head out. You wanna come with me?
no subject
[That's a yes.]
no subject
[Usual stuff, you know.]
no subject
[...at least he's asking.]
no subject
Um, sure. What is it?
